Versioning
Lenso owns its release versions, public names and compatibility decisions.
Active version
The documentation header and generated contract read the active version from packages/react/package.json. The theme package should be consumed from the matching Lenso release. The current reconstruction targets the next 0.9.0 candidate; that target is not a publication announcement.
A build using an older package manifest must not label itself as the future candidate. Rebuild the documentation and contract after merging package changes.
Public names
Menu is the popup command family. There is no public Dropdown compatibility export. Historical names may remain in private provenance and raw example reference identifiers. A redirect from an old documentation URL is navigation convenience, not an API alias.
Native API changes require a compatibility decision based on the actual exported TypeScript contracts and runtime behavior. An upstream library's version number is not a Lenso compatibility promise.
Reference provenance
The pinned visual reference is HeroUI v3.2.6. Its historical releases and v2-to-v3 migration instructions are not Lenso releases or Lenso migration guidance. They do not appear in public navigation, search, sitemap or copied Markdown.
Preserved license notices and source hashes keep derivation auditable without making reference content the product's user-facing documentation.
Reproducible consumers
Docs and tooling consume the same versioned authored index and native API. Regenerate them from the current source, not a neighboring checkout's generated output. Keep full example scopes and missing-reference checks when changing public names; a partial browser run must remain explicitly partial.
